    'The Many faces of ELP, Yes, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath etc'-Box Set CD's.

    I notice there has been quite a few of these 'Many Faces of ....' box sets released recently. I bought both the Pink Floyd & Yes which make up a decent compilation though not essential. Don't know if these are official releases ?

    Whilst perusing Amazon I came across this latest one by ELP!

    Baffling. Palmer was not on 'The Devil's Answer' or 'V.U.G.'- he'd left the band by then!

    I get that disc one is (meant to be) pre-ELP stuff from E, L, and P, and disc three is other people performing stuff that ELP also performed... but what the hell is disc two supposed to be?

    It seems to be artists signed to Manticore (yeah, it's not that Hanson), plus three organists who influenced Emerson.

    I once read a hysterically funny review of those Keith Christmas albums on Manticore.

    They're really, really bad from what I read.

    I owned the album that this track is from--Brighter Day--for about ten minutes. I figured that the presence of Greg Lake, Pete Sinfield, Ian McDonald, Mel Collins, and Ian Wallace suggested that it might have some interesting music happening. Nope. Even a bigger disappointment than the Colin Scot album.
