Zappa Plays Zappa - One Size Fits All Tour

Just saw my fifth ZPZ show, this time for the "One Size Fits All" album. Seeing the music live gives me so much more of an appreciation for it, and that band just cranks. They come through just about every year to a year and a half, and I will continue to go every single time. So glad Dweezil is keeping this music alive! 2.5 hour show, and to be honest, I could listen to these guys jam over a groove for 30 minutes, just so good!

A guy on keyboard who also 'fills' in for Duke. No, it's not the same.

Its a combination of the keyboard player, Dweezil on guitar and to a lesser extent, Scheila Gonzalez on keys/sax/flute. By the way, there is another thread floating around for this topic (Zappa Plays Zappa 2015).

Speaking of the irreplaceable Ruth, I ran into her at a coin laundromat in Studio City. I think she owns the place.

Or slightly later, after he had abandoned the Mothers name. The musical piece marked "Slowly" is "Manx Needs Women."

Man, there’s still so much Zappa stuff I don’t know.

Here's a piece that is from the One Size era (a writer travelling with FZ and the group for a few days in November 1974 shortly before they recorded the album):
