    Genesis cover band from Tokyo

    Tsukihage no Kishi, a Genesis cover band, just had a gig on December 1st.
    Here is an abridged video of the gig.

    The guitar player is really good and the vocals are decent.

    Out of curiosity, what does the name mean?

    i remember this from a post either from earlier this year or last year mostly because of the girl keyboardist. why aren't there more female musicians like that?
    talented band. was amazed at all the multi-insrumentalists.

    Kind a difficult to explain. The Japanese title of the "Selling England by The Pound" album is "Tsukikage no Kishi" which is actually as well as the Japanese title of "Dancing with The Moonlit Knight".
    We parodied the title "Tsukikage no Kishi" to make "Tsukihage no Kishi". "hage" means a balding man in Japanese. So the band name literally means the Knights with crescent shaped balds

    No sure but maybe because progressive rock is more liked by male than by female in Japan.
