What voice? It's not like he actually sings.

Ya never know. They started off with 22 shows in 2007. They took a week off and resumed with 17 more shows. They did other tour legs performing roughly 35 more times. At that time, Eddie & Alex hadn't done a tour since 2004. Roth hadn't done a full tour since 2002. Sure, they are almost 8 years older now, but Eddie appears to be a lot healthier these days and DLR is always in great shape.

I've been meaning to watch that Smithsonian thing.

They do all look really healthy. Surprising that Wolfgang is as heavy as he is, but he's younger - he can get away with that.

Eddie sounded fine, Alex got the job done, Wolf plays Mikey's basslines, and DLR sounds like a train wreck. The guy cannot hold a note beyond a millisecond. His voice is simply gone.

Did he ever have a voice????

Exactly! Sounded like classic Dave to me. Just like he's always done - half sing, half talk, and lots of grinning.

Even though I don't keep up with VH anymore, it is good to see Eddie looking and sounding good again.

Dave's an entertainer. if his voice is shot, he'll work around it. at first I thought he was wearing really colorful shirt. on 2nd view I see it's a tattoo.

Sure he did. He used to be able to sing an entire line without having to pump his brakes at 25MPH.

Go put on anything from 1978-1984 and tell me he sounded then the way he sounds now.

He "cut" himself with his microphone, according to the link I posted above. It was during "Panama," which they stopped to get Dave patched up, and then they played the whole thing again, which they aired as the opener.
