Carl Palmer entitled to bus pass

Happy 65th Carl Palmer. Hugely influential drummer who continues to ply his trade with gusto. Did anyone look so permanently excited tearing into a drum solo over so many years.

His snare technique remains formidable. I miss his big kit playing which suits his style best I think.

Wished he'd composed more, think Bullfrog, Food for your Soul, Tank and the ferocious Pancha Suite. I'd have loved more edgy fusion.

But ELP and Asia , 2 mega sellers, not many can state that. And less and less drummers are as famous these days.

Happy birthday, Mr. Carl. Must say he's aged a bit better than his bandmates.

Looking forward to my day in court.

Well, he did have an operation to put a stent in his heart and he almost died from an E. coli attack.

Emerson IS six years older. And, his problems aren't age related. He has a neurological disorder and an RSD.

Unknowingly celebrated with the Atlantic Recordings box in the car yesterday.

Actually he could have a bus pass for years, both men and women get them at the same age, at the point women are entitled to the state pension. I entitled to one next year when I'm 63.

Yeah, but he keeps missing the bus because he gets there either too early or too late.
