    Celebrating the Irish

It being Saint Paddy's Day, who are your favourite contributors to progressive music or to music in general?

I expect all the usual suspects, so I'll mention Clannad before someone else does:

Hired on to work for Mr. Bill Cox, a-fixin' lawn mowers and what-not, since 1964.

My fave U2 album. IMO they began a downhill slide after this. They might have recovered, but I never paid much attention to them after this one.

    I agree on the prog.

But not on the record stores. Have you not been to the Northside of Dublin - Henry St, Moore St, Abbey St Middle,Liffey St. Lwr, Earl St, or over in the Quays on the Southside there was always loads of music shops around.

In 100% agreement on all points. My fav LP too. The Joshua Tree which came next, I thought, was awful. And then I lost interest.
