Emerson Lake & Palmer Tribute playing in the UK...

    Hi folks,

Just thought I'd announce that my ELP tribute - "Noddy's Puncture" - are playing six dates here in the UK.

Thursday 7th May - The Mallard Pub, Seaham, (near Newcastle.)
Friday 8th May - The Forum, Darlington.
Saturday 23rd May - The Ukranian Club, Rochdale.
Saturday 6th June - The Earl Haig Club, Cardiff.
Thursday 30th July - The Cluny, Newcastle.
Friday 31st July - The Studio, Hartlepool.

I shall be using my new Moog Modular on all these gigs... along with Hammond Organs and Leslie etc...

This is the closest you will ever get to seeing an authentic ELP performance.

Check out my YouTube channel... here is a link to "Trilogy" from last year.

    Cheers,

Wow! Looks brilliant. Try and get to Manchester or Liverpool rather than the (erm) "Rochdale Ukrianian Club"

Rochdale is actually in Greater Manchester... and don't knock the venue until you've tried it...

Never been an ELP fan, but I enjoyed the hell out of that. Good luck on the tour!

That was a hoot - brilliant! - Cardiff is a fair old trek from Exeter, but my daughter's studying there at the Uni, so I'll see if I can make it up to Whitchurch in June - if only for the Moog

Saw you guys a few years back and was really impressed.

I'd go and see you again but the venues are not in my neck of woods. Ever thought of playing The Diamond in Sutton in Ashfield or anywhere in Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire for that matter?

Yes it helps a bit. Never seen that pin, but hey, I'm in The Netherlands. And I like ELP. Discovered them through my English teacher, who played Jerusalem and Karn Evenl No 9 in the classroom, to analyse the lyrics.
The next thing, I bougt Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends.

Noddy's Puncture sounded more like a Slade tribute band to me.

That's what I thought as well, Renate.

Coincidentally, Chicago area ELP tribute band, Fanfare, are playing at an after-party at Rosfest. Since 75% of the 4 man band (vox/bass are 2 different people) is also in Sonus Umbra, it was economical for George/Iggy.

Best to you for success on your mini UK tour, Tom.
