    The 2015 NFL Discussion Thread

I believe the last thread was started around this time last year with free agency starting, so seems to a good place to start anew.

So let's hear some FA predictions?

Speaking from the Cowboys, I think that tagging Dez was the right call over Murray, and it will probably cost us Murray as a result. Thing is, who pays that much to get Murray next year? I think if he went to the Falcons or Colts, that might help propel those teams.

With Suh not tagged, the Raiders can finally get their guy.

There's a rumor floating around that the Dolphins are interested in Suh. Okay, whatever. I'll take him as long as he behaves himself on the field and not go brain farting all over the place. But, like I said in the other thread late last year, I'm not gonna invest the emotions of the past into this team anymore. I've had it with this mediocrity.

Foot-Stompin' or not, I'd welcome Suh on the Giants defensive line.

Eagles need to re-sign Maclin, and then will hopefully get Byron Maxwell, Devin McCourty and Jason Worilds.

The news that leaked yesterday is that the Raiders are prepared to pay any amount of money to get Suh. Also, the Lions are now very interested in re-signing him, but they probably can't get to where the Raiders are.

Since the Cheese released A. J. Hawk, I wonder if anyone wants him or this is it.

If I remember, didn't the Pack release Hawk once before and then resign him at a reduced rate? I think he's done.

I'm glad the Lions didn't franchise Suh as he would have taken up way too much cap room and they'd be in the exact same situation next year. If he walks, so be it. What the Lions need to do us either though draft, free agency, or trade, is get some football IQ for Matt Stafford because he just doesn't understand the game. If he doesn't think he needs to improve and isn't willing to do what is necessary to improve, what the Lions have us their Andy Dalton.

the Boyz definitely need a serious pass rusher/sackmiester and a shutdown corner. Other than those 2 positions, I think we are in good shape
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

The local team is actually in pretty good shape if it can sure up the O line. They signed Oher, but he's not much more than a stop gap. Hopefully the draft brings in some real offensive line talent and, just as important, a running back. Stewart looked good at the end of the season, but he's injury prone. As a UGA grad, I sure would love to keep rooting for Todd Gurley next year.

They'll probably sign a free agent WR rather than draft one. Lance Moore, Andre Johnson, retread Ted Ginn--one of those guys will be a fine compliment for Kelvin Benjamin. They've already resigned Greg Olsen, so Cam has a reliable target for the middle of the field.

And speaking of Cam, lots of talk about him getting his next contract soon. That'll happen eventually.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.

Rumors are that the Vikes have interest in Hawk but those, of course, are just rumors.

I don't. While defensive linemen are important, tying up that much money in one player at that position isn't wise.

Good. I was worried they might go after Murray.

Quite an offseason for Oregon so far. They're doing their best Redskins impression.

He's a dominant defensive player who doesn't miss games to injury. While ideally you'd rather have an all-time great CB than an all-time great NT to spend that kind of money on and build a defense around, I think he's a great signing for a team in Miami's cap position and with Miami's needs.

I think that sum could have been used more judiciously, and will restrict other moves they might like to make. I didn't look at how long the contract is, but for the reasons I stated, I wouldn't be surprised if Suh isn't on the roster to collect on the back end of that deal, even though he'll still have gas in the tank.
