    Jethro Tull - Aqualung (71) -> Thick As a Brick (72)- > A Passion Play (73)

although, as mentioned above, Songs from the Wood - Horses - Stormwatch is totally valid IMO as well.

I just think TAAB is one of the best albums by anyone, ever...so it has to make my list

For me one of the ultimate trifectas would be:

Porcupine Tree: Stupid Dream, Lightbulb Sun, In Absentia

Also, Rush: A farewell to Kings, Hemispheres and Permanent Waves(MP of course isn't bad but I've always thought it was slightly over rated especially when considering how these three are less appreciated yet equally as strong imo).

You're right, but you missed two too

    The Seaside (84)
Mr & Mrs Smith & Mr Drake (84)
    A Little Man...(88)
    On Land...(88)
Songs for Ships & Irons (90)
    HB & EB (91)
    Sea Nymphs (92)
Tim Smith's Extra Special OceanLandWorld (95)
    Sing to God I(95)
    Sing to God II (95)
    Spratleys Japs Pony (98)
    Guns (99)

That gives us four (!) trifectas. Quite the body of work...

[QUOTE=Facelift;381740]These are the best ones that I could think of in a short amount of time.

Love that list (except Radiohead) - well done sir!
The music was hot, but my baby was not.
