Robin Trower - Something's About To Change
We're trying to build a monument to show that we were here
It won't be visible through the air
And there won't be any shade to cool the monument to prove that we were here. - Gene Parsons, 1973

“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.”
Tool? Is there any concrete evidence of this?
neil
Well maybe not. On July 15, 2014, Carey and Jones informed Rolling Stone that family commitments and an ongoing lawsuit are the key reasons for the delayed fifth album.[92] Carey said to the music publication that one untitled track is "pretty much done" and explained in regard to the band's legal issue:
“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.”
The Amazing - Picture You
Dave Kerzner's release is fantastic!
hasse fröberg and the musical companion - HFMC, also a very good album imho
For the most up-to-date-as-it-drops Tool news fourtheye.net is the place to go...currently they're working away with i believe a majority of the music done and given to Maynard, and: Adam's disclosed one of the band members as having had some sort of life-threatening illness; both he, Danny, and Maynard are or are about to become fathers (again); and they finally sorted the lawsuit against Cam, winning...so my guess is late this year or early next year...most likely the latter.
Timbre's 5-years-in-the-making epic magnum opus Double LP 'Sun & Moon" I just received and actually got to see last night performed in full live via live video stream.
It's really a wonderful bridging of Classical (and even Opera) with modern music of a kind. 110 minutes. There's a ton to take-in with it, so much, I may still be digesting a lot of it still years from now.
It's being officially released 1-week from Tuesday, although per the Indiiegogo Campaign, she sent to supporters like myself. downloads and cds early.
the last track on the "Sun" disc "Night Girl: Nycteris Sees the Sun" is about as proggy as anything Timbre has ever done.

^^I really enjoyed that. A little surprising, since stuff with the description "5 years in the making magnum opus", I usually find bloated and overwrought, but that is a really beautiful, rich, song.

well, I would say don't assume anything, but I mean the length more or less says a lot. The 1st CD "Sun" is 52 minutes and is much like a lot of Timbre's traditional Harp-driven Folk/Pop
But the 2nd CD "Moon" has a much larger emphasis on Orchestral and Opera of a kind. There's 1 piece that's nearly 11 minutes of a Choir or Choral ONLY.
But I would definitely think some people could enjoy this record just per the musicianship and instrumentation alone. Timbre has a pretty accessible voice (unlike someone like say, Joanna Newsom).
Don't forget Magma, man! Also looks like Rundgren's releasing a 70's throwback album after Global as well.
A vie, a mort, et apres...
