Kim Gordon just published her memoirs of her life as a member of the band. It is a great read, and it does shy away from the personal issues that occurred between her and her ex. She is successful not just as a musician, but as a clothing designer, and at 51 she is still drop dead sexy. Thurston Moore really began in the NY no-wave movement, and he has played with many avante-garders such as Glenn Branca and many others. He is a vastly underrated guitarist. As is Lee Ranaldo. All were heavily influeced by people like John Cage and other luminaries of new music.

Now having listened to Washing Machine, Murray St. and A Thousand Leaves, I will for sure pop for Daydream Nation.

I didn't realize from what I saw on the tube how psych-y they were. This for me is a very good thing.
