I hope he stays active in music and doesn't go back to Mind Head or whatever it was.
Yeah...I am lucky enough to have vinyl copies of his first four, but would gladly part with a few coins for some CD releases
Great news Vicky, thanks
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

pleasure guys, been inundated with emails about these, Peter should "feel the love" as they say
Baumann seems to be a curious guy. He acutally left Tangerine Dream on at least two occasions. He quit sometime in late 74 or early 75. The band went to Australia in March 75 and played the Royal Albert Hall in April 75 with Michael Hoening taking Baumann's place. But then just a few months later, Baumann was back in. And of course he left after the 77 North American tour.
Last I actually heard about Peter Baumann, prior to this talk of him doing something with Jerome or whatever, was that he was running a think tank, so I had the impression maybe he was retired from music fully and completely for good. (shrug)
I have a feeling Froese's son wouldn't want anyone else heading up TD. Except maybe himself. Which I can fully understand.
I think his wife is in control of the name, not his son. I thought they were continuing, just not with Baumann.
Nothing against Baumann, but I really think they should let the name die with Edgar. To me it would be like continuing King Crimson post-Fripp: unthinkable.
Baumann isn't involved anymore. At this point, the current material is all based on work already underway with Froese when he passed and involves the "last" lineup.
It is his wish they continue!
Plans are made!
reg. Baumann
new interview

This was sort of funny since he used those big modulars back in the day:
<<Did any of the technology surprise you or have you kept up-to-date with all the changes over the years?
I was aware of Pro-tools, Paul Haslinger used it in the 1990’s on some track we worked on, but it really blew my mind after I really got into using it. The keyboards available today are so much more complex than what I was accustomed to – for the first time I my life I had to read a manual >>
Baumann talks about what he did after he left TD in the 70s, his meetings and plans with Edgar for 2015, and his new album here in this new interview:

Yep...olivetti dropped that same interview about 5 posts back. Nice stuff, good read

About halfway thru Machines of Desire. Really enjoying it so far. It's pretty far afield from the usual Berlin school sounds, though there are some hints of it. I'm not sure what else I'd compare it to.
