In!
Duncan's going to make a Horns Emoticon!!!
I'm in. There is a guy with the last name of Sly in it. No relation that I know of.
I'm game.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.
Never let good music get in the way of making a profit.
I'm only here to reglaze my bathtub.
Just a reminder that the show starts tonight.
Followed by the premier of Amazing Race!
Duncan's going to make a Horns Emoticon!!!
I think they're off to a great start. Seems like this might be a really fine season we have in front of us.
Finally, some brain power! (At least among the white collars.)
I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when blue collar dude ate the scorpion!

I agree. I think it was a good first episode. I love that one of the women (Carolyn?) had the smarts to watch the two people who had to make the "honest or deceit" decision to see if they were looking for an idol, and then find it herself. That was a smart move. I'm not sure that telling someone else in her tribe about it so early on was smart though. I think this season has potential.
General observations--pretty good start, yet I'm amazed at some of the contestant's strategies just starting out.
Oddly ironic?--the white collars first two picks pick the deceitful beans, and think lying is ok. Humm. Very telling?
Guy with feathers in hair on Free Thinkers--wow way too possessive dude, and a strange one, lighten up. I doubt he'll last.
Post Office guy on the Blue Collar--loud and sort of obnoxious, but just might be I don't care for those types, won't last.
I think just starting the game one has to be pretty open minded, friendly, and get along so trust goes a long way, you can make alliances if they present themselves.
The lady that found the idol on the White Collars was smart. I already have a few faves, but I forget their names, so we'll see.
when blue collar dude ate the scorpion!
Really, what a dummy.
Looks to be an interesting season. Naturally I gravitate towards blue collar so early faves are scorpian dude and state trooper chick. No collar has a handful of fruit bats, but for now I like the chatty blond and the dude who started the fire. The only white collar I'll give a chance so far is the big red head guy.

But again, they vote off the cute asian woman first.
Oh, spoiler.
This format is interesting, but I can already see the White Collar tribe completely imploring with deceit and self-serving actions forcing an earlier than planned merge or reshiuffle.
My contestant observations -
Creepy dudes - feather guy, slicked hair white collar dude, postal dude
Characters - postal dude, scorpion guy (I loved that he ate the scorpion and then totally owned the consequences)

I finally got to watch it on DVR last night. Thought it was a very good start. I think this is going to be an interesting season, and I think that it will prove that White, Blue, and No collar stereotypes are not all they appear to be. It takes all kinds of people to form a successful organization (or team), and diversity is the key. Some of this has already showed up in the first few days on the island.
I am a person who has worked for the same company for 28 years. The first 17 as a blue collar worker and the last 11 as a white collar worker. I also consider myself to have at least somewhat of a free spirit, so can relate to all 3 tribes. I think this will be a very fun one to watch this time around.
Yeah I agree. I also like the fact that there's no returning survivors.

In life, I work 'blue collar' but as a person I distinctly think "no collar". The 'white collars' are doomed out of the gate, taking the low road on their first decision was a bad idea, but we'll see. And that guy with the feathers in his hair WTF? He reminds me of a cult leader, who you find out, is just as petty and shallow as the people you joined the cult to get away from. probably the first to go on that tribe.

That outcome is very possible of course, my view is the two white players chosen to lead were simply the worst liars/players in the group. One is gone already, making the white team weaker, so they have that against them too. If they lose this next immunity, they could implode. Which, come to think of it, would make great TV.
On the other hand, this team is smart enough to realize their individual chances are much better after the merge, so maybe they rally together instead....
Agreed, marking them all with big fat targets. Sometimes these types get carried along by the tides of the tribe for later elimination after some less obvious/oblivious dangerous players go.My contestant observations -

When postal dude claimed in his intro that he wanted to be "remembered" or something like that, I figured he just slipped the first-out noose around his own neck.
I think postal dude should just keep going postal and that way he can still win first out of the blue collar tribe.
Legacy sealed.

YAY! Creepy guy is gone. Although, he probably would have made some good TV, you knew he wasn't going to last long.
Another very good episode I thought.
That water challenge was really great, lots of action and a nice comeback for the white collars.
BTW, saw this elsewhere, but haven't we really seen this format before? (Brains Brawns & Beauties)
And damn, that crack at tribal was awesome, "yeah, water has always been black man kryptonite".. has got to go down as an all time great line at tribal. (I had to pause to die laughing)
Super nice blindside, (really want Jenn to stay, heynow) so really nothing to complain about. Creepy Vincelot is gone, but even he redeemed himself in the end a bit with his classy exit line and even classier post tribal interview.
Why he saved the class for his exit and instead creeped out his tribe when it mattered is a question with no apparent answer...

Vince was the poor man's Coach. Good riddance!
The Prog Corner
LMAO! I never thought of him that way...but you're absolutely right.
He had a few good comments tribal that made me snicker. We didn't really see that side of him at camp, but he's seems like a really funny guy. I hope we get to see more of that.Originally Posted by NeonKnight
Yeah, basically the same idea. That was a good season though, I hope the same holds true for this one. I like when they start with three teams.Originally Posted by NeonKnight
