Y'all take your "What is Prog?" argument and go outside to the parkin' lot, m'kay?
We're talking about Brand X here.

"And this is the chorus.....or perhaps it's a bridge...."
Saw them at Yoshi's in Oakland, and they killed it, though they had sound issues for the first tune or two.
There, is that better?
"And this is the chorus.....or perhaps it's a bridge...."
Last year saw the rerelease of Peter And The Wolf by Jack Lancaster & Robin Lumley, featuring all members of Brand X and sad but true also the late Gary Brooker.
March 25 Esoteric Recordings will also release the second album by this duo, Marscape, which also features Goodsall, Jones, Collins and Pert. The re-issue has two bonustracks, single-versions of two of the albumtracks.
The last CD-release of this album was in 2014 by Gonzo.
Marscape remaster?

Yes (https://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/...tered-edition/). I have a promotional copy and that sounds fantastic.
I have an early 90s CD from Ozone Records, who also issue XCommunication, the first Tunnels album, and the reissue of Wilding/Bonus Pleasure Signals.
It sounds to me as though it could be a "needledrop", though it's good enough that I doubt I'll be picking up the new one.
Correct. It was probably taken from an LP. The new edition is from the newly found mastertapes and sounds so much better (I have both).
There's a theory that this album, that was recorded around the same period as Unorthodox Behaviour in the same Trident Studio's, featured the new band Brand X. According to Lancaster in the booklet that's not true though. He tells Brand X did not excist yet while Marscape was created. In a Dutch review written in 1977 the reviewer thought Marscape was a good transition between Unorthodox Behaviour and Morrocan Roll, but I guess this mistake was made because in those days a lot of import-LP's were reviewed one year after release.
B.t.w. as you can see the new version contains two bonustracks: the A- and B-side from a single (being to single-edits from album-cuts).
Marscape does indeed have elements that are clearly coming from musicians that would soon form Brand X. Yet other tracks sound like Jade Warrior (lots of flutes, water gongs etc.), others have a classical touch or are in the fusion-vein (mainly because of Lancaster's saxophones), in Hopper the band explores reggae and sometimes it sounds like ambient film-music. The concept is about a travel to Mars and describes the journey and the circumstances on that planet. So there's nothing happening like on The Interstellar Suite from Amin Bhatia with attacks of aliens etc.

I have this CD, but not under the name of Tiger. It's from Test Of Time by the Big Jim Sullivan Band like the image shows: https://www.discogs.com/master/54318...d-Test-Of-Time
Lovely album, featuring not only Percy Jones and Maurice Pert (yes, that's the way it is written on the sleeve), but also a wonderful Simon Phillips, Mo Foster and Dave Lawson.
Released on Ozone Music, which also brought out other Brand X- and related albums on CD, like Wilding & Bonus' Pleasure Signals.
