A related question: Does anyone know about the long drum fadeout on side one of Ommadawn-- which releases have it and which don't? I remember it being mentioned in a Melody Maker review when it came out (that the drums went on for a minute and a half), but I got an original UK copy and the drums only lasted about 20 seconds. Same I believe was true for the US copies. The full fade is there on Boxed.
So were there actually two mixes of Ommadawm?

^Boxed, I think (well before my time!), was a collection of quadrophonic mixes. It may be that the long version was only on the quadrophonic mix...I think Tubular Bells similarly differed in that format.
