First episode of The Punisher was pretty good, it's going to be dark.

Not exactly a series, tho' it's on regularly annually:

I saw part of the American Music Awards tonight, and while I'm not a fan of either awards shows or the artist Pink, I saw absolutely the ballsiest performance I have ever seen by someone not a circus performer, and she was singing all the while.

By tomorrow, the video of this will be all over youtube. I think I said "holy shit!" at east 5 times during her performance. Check it out.

I didn't see that particular performance, but I've seen her do other "Cirque-type" of stunts and it's really impressive. Looks like she puts on one helluva show.

I've seen previous Cirque type stuff from both Pink & Gaga, but none involved a bunch of other people and an LA high-rise office building. Trust me, Scott.

I'll have to check that out, then.

Wow! How does anyone go on after that act??

Pink, like Gaga is actually very talented. I saw one of her live shows on AXS (or one of the music networks) a couple of years ago and although most of her music is not my thing, I was very impressed with her performance. She incorporates circus high wire stuff in her live shows, but yea this is really over the top.

I don't know if anyone here is a Tragically Hip fan, but there is a great documentary of their final tour running on Netflix right now.

I just saw this, and right away thought of Mark (Marillion) Wilkinson (it's Stranger Things 2, though this doesn't have the text):

Here it is with the type, but smaller:

If any of you didn't get a chance to see Ron Howard's The Beatles: Eight Days a Week when it first aired on Hulu, which I didn't, it's being premiered this week on PBS.

Every reference to a show called Gilmore Girls (and there seemed to be a lot) that I've encountered, I thought was a reference to the show "Golden Girls" till now. I wondered why Golden Girls was having such a resurgence.

I caught part of some documentary/analysis of Sgt. Pepper last night. I missed all but the last half-hour of it, but it was coming on again, so the DVR was set. Looked very interesting. The host (who's name escapes me) was analyzing the unique (for the time) harmonies and other musical qualities of the album, and doing so in very layman terms.

That's perfectly understandable. I was that way with the TV series 2 Broke Girls and the movie Brokeback Mountain for a long time.

If it is the same one that was on Netflix I watched it recently. Pretty good documentary. Not really much new information, but I enjoyed it.

I thought the first and second episodes were excellent. I found 3 and 4 not nearly as strong.

Yeah, it's called Sgt Pepper's Musical Revolution and is hosted by Howard Goodall. Apparently, it's a new-ish show that originally aired on the BBC in June but I could swear I've seen something like it before... and that I thought was hosted by Goodall. Maybe it's two different shows I saw that I conflated in my memory. Regardless, it was quite interesting. Altho I did think it could have been longer.

The Ron Howard doc was even better, imo.

I should warn you, tho, that they had breaks in both shows to do their PBS fund drive.

I watched the first 2 episodes of Godless last night. Pretty cool so far! Love me a good Western tale.

P!nk stole her show from L.A.-based band, Powder. In fact, she stole some portions of her show almost to the 'T'. She won't answer questions about this when asked.

She is also built like an NFL middle linebacker....those meaty thighs could cause serious concussions.
