Had some DVR time today and watched the first episodes of the new seasons of The Leftovers and Fargo. Looks like they are going to be excellent seasons. Leftovers is really getting interesting and I have no clue where they are going with it.

Enjoying the quirkiness of The Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix (not just another zombie show)

Yeah, between these two shows and Better Call Saul, along with The Fall (new to me, first read about it in this thread), I have plenty to keep me occupied until GoT in July. The Leftovers is indeed getting quite fascinating... it's a bit strange seeing Carrie Coon in two series at once though (that one and Fargo).

I remember when Carrie Coon was in grad school at UW-Madison and just getting her professional start doing Shakespeare & classic theater like Shaw, Oscar Wilde etc. I saw her twice back then at American Players Theater, a beautiful outdoor venue in the woods 35 miles from Madtown. She deserves success.

I'll be queueing up the second season of The Last Kingdom. I read all the books so I want to see if the show will stay on course. I also started watching the BBC's Ripper Street. I like it. Every episode is a stand alone story, the period seems very well captured, and the acting is good.

Fargo question: (trying to avoid giving any spoilers) Are Emmit and Ray Stussy related to Ennis Stussy, the old man from season 3 episode 1, or do they just share the same last name? If it was mentioned in the episode, I missed it.
Did anyone else wonder if the 2010 grocery store from Season 3 was the same place as the 1979 butcher shop from Season 2? They seemed pretty similar. edit: I looked it up, Eden Valley is nowhere near Luverne. Ennis Stussy and his grandson would have a really crappy commute if that store was in Luverne.

The Stussy situation wasn't explained. I'm sure it will be explained as the story unfolds tho.

I pretty much never watch Lifetime movies or shows, but this new show Mary Kills People got positive ink in both Time and New York magazines, so I taped the first one & watched it today.
I'm taping the series. Kevorkian would be proud.

Bong Appetit has a new season. The first episode was High Thai, an incredible canna-curry venture.

Watching season 6 of Shameless, and I got a chuckle from a scene where the star is dating a musician. First he makes a comment about her wearing his Pere Ubu tshirt, but then later he says "we got a gig at Reggies thursday night" Show takes place in Chicago...hey I been there...the iconic Reggies!
Thankfully, The Blacklist has picked up over the last few episodes...
Watched the first episode of Genius with Geoffrey Rush as Einstein last night on the Natl Geo channel, and it's pretty damn impressive. Rush was meant to play this part. Directed by Ron Howard.

SUITS
Dule Hill of Psych and The West Wing is joining the cast for the 7th Season coming up.

Just saw this as I am a huge Psych fan and have always meant-to, but never fully invested the time into watching Suits.
But with Dule joining the cast, I may finally have to give this show a go.
