I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
^ Let me know how Umbrella Academy is. I remember being not too enamored of the last season.
BTW, Ian, have you checked out Warrior Nun? If you like shows like UA and The Boys, you'd like WN, too. In fact, I liked it better.

The Boys is like, the shit, an' shit.
Awesome.

I'm on episode 8 now, this is truly a binge-worthy show, and I'm totally going to be in the mood for a Godfather I & II blu-ray re-watch.
One thing I've noticed in this TV series though that I don't care for is the use of modern slang or phrases like 'It is what it is', 'You got this', and 'Props to that'. I'm fairly sure none of those were common in the early 1970s, but I could be wrong.

Apparently, the first use of "it is what it is" was in 1949. That didn't entirely surprise me; it sounds like a mid-20th century New York-ism or maybe something Yogi Berra might have said.
Phrases are often recycled. The first time I heard "he's old school" was on MTV in the early '90s, I think. A few years later, I saw it in a movie, too: No Highway in the Sky, released in 1951 and starring Jimmy Stewart.
But I'm with you. I really dislike anachronisms and I'd wager the other two phrases are.

Dexter: New Blood getting a feebie with Showtime on Sling TV. It's been sort of fun revisiting the new series with Dexter. I never read the novels, but somewhat interested in them. I watched the series up to around Season 4 and then heard the series ended badly so never got caught up, but they have that as well, so I might see if I can watch those too.
Anyone else watch the first episode of Season 4 of Westworld?
"And this is the chorus.....or perhaps it's a bridge...."
I've finally gotten around to watching Glow and 5 episodes in rather enjoy it.
Duncan's going to make a Horns Emoticon!!!
Please don't ask questions, just use google.
Never let good music get in the way of making a profit.
I'm only here to reglaze my bathtub.
I watched the first episode of Westworld, season 4, and had no friggin' idea what was going on. I then watched the last episode of season 3 to see if I could glean the continuity between seasons and was similarly flummoxed. It's like a complete reboot.
well......my project has been to rewatch the whole shebang from beginning, and I am glad I did, though I am only haf way through S1 thus far......The opening of Season 4 Episode 1--she waking up, lying on the bed--is the first of many Deja Vu scenes....I have hopes for this season. Season three, IMO, went off the Rez a bit...but it did set up some back story, maybe, tying all this together.....or so I hope.

Finished The Ipcress File which was a decent Cold War spy thriller. Now binging The Responder, a gritty and gripping police drama with Martin Freeman (who pulls off a convincing Scouse accent) as a cop who is on his last nerve on the streets of Liverpool. Very tense and absorbing. Nogbad, I'm thinking you'd be down for this one.

Anyone watching Shining Girls on Apple TV? It's a mind-bender.
