Thread: The Apocolypse Is Coming, snow that is

Zero flakes in Pittsburgh. (Well, of the snow variety.) They were calling for 4-8 inches.

Same here. Both our NY and Boston offices are closed. Working at home today. I guess I shouldn't be on PE then.

That's the whole point of working from home. Those Yes threads don't write themselves!
Work buildings are closed, school is closed. Supplies laid in. Nice...

They keep mentioning "bombogenesis". So far it's looking more like Calling All Stations than Wind and Wuthering.

In retrospect, one could say that I stole money from the State of Wisconsin from late 2006 until I retired in December, 2009. Those dates correspond exactly with when I joined PE. It's a damn good thing that my job wasn't one that allowed for "widget counting", or I probably would have been fired, or at the very least put on some kind of probation before I retired.

Those still working need to BEWARE OF THE INSIDIOUS NATURE OF PE!!

We got quite a bit in the Toronto area. No big deal, the entire months of January and February were snow-free. One of the lamest winters in recent memory (until now).

I always work from home. The commute is great, but there's no such thing as a snow day. Weekends are also not necessarily on Saturday and Sunday, when you're in business for yourself. Sometimes, it's Tuesday and Wednesday.

    The Winter that barely was.

It hit 63 degrees in Antarctica a week or so ago, believe it or not.

Yeah, it started here as well, but quite light,so far.Weather radar seems to indicate it's the last gasp for the storm;in this area,at least.

Schools here have a two hour delay tomorrow. Schools in the next town over are closed tomorrow so my kids are now hoping ours will follow suit.

Had a great time shoveling this wet, frozen mush.

Then had a great time again when the plow came by.

    I fucking hate winter.

    14 inches here in WMass.

I heard Philly had just slush. Is that right, Scott?

The Lehigh Valley (where I'm originally from) got about a foot.

We had a trace here north of Pittsburgh (although it's as cold as fuck right now). It's been flurrying all afternoon, but has amounted to nothing. I still see grass outside.

We had snow, then sleet, then snow again. It was wet and heavy. And a bitch to shovel.

We got maybe 8"-10" before the rain started. Heaviest damn snow I ever shoveled.

Schools closed again today here (Southern Westchester, NY). Icy roads, they say.

So, they called for 4-8 inches for Tuesday and we got nothing. They called nothing for today and we have an inch or two this morning.

Nice job, if you can get it. No accountability.

We got 6 inches in Boston, got rain, wind & below freezing temps, so the snow doesn't look bad but its slippery and the snow is frozen and heavy.
