This reminds me of the quieter parts of Octavarium (the song)...no comment.

I was accused of starting the "Best of 2014" thread early, back in March of last year (I believe). This one should set a new record, but I appreciate it nonetheless. It's where I get most of my recommendations to check out during the year.

Plus...he's right, this is probably going into my top X of 2015 list. Probably.
rcarlberg: Is there anything sadder than a song that has never been played?
Plasmatopia: Maybe a song in D minor that has never been played?

bob_32_116: That would be a terrific triple bill: Cyan, Magenta and Yello.

trurl: The Odyssey: "He's trying to get home."

Not that I want to discourage this as it's only Jan. 15th, (I enjoy reading it myself), but please continue to use the sticky thread "New Releases" as well, as a source to get the word out about new and upcoming albums.

Well the thread "New Releases" is not only Prog. Maybee I gave it a wrong title. It should be 'New Prog Releases 2015'.

Listening on Spotify. Surprised it's up a week early. This album is certainly placing the bar high for Best of 2015 though. Wow.

I really liked the new Led Zeppelin studio album that came out in August. Nobody saw that coming, not even back in January.

Sure it's early, but what the hell.... I can guarantee the new Unreal City album will be on my list. It's absolutely outstanding, and on par with their debut album. I can't get enough of it!

ANY fans of Italian prog need this album.

You know when you read comments under the articles on ESPN's website, and the first comment simply says "first"?
Think of this thread like that.

Was unfamiliar with them until this week but digging this album for sure. As good as the LogoS album from last year.

    Hail Italia!

Frisk Frugt's second album, Den Europæiske Spejlbue, is released today.
I know very little about the artist other than it is his second album as Frisk Frugt(I haven't heard the first), the man responsible is called Anderson Laure Meldgaard, he is Danish.

If I'm still not banging on about this album by the end of the year it will be a miracle.

    Absolutely beautiful, mysterious and unique.
