It is currently out of print. I'm hoping to get this back into the available catalog.
Thanks!
When I was going through the Toy Matinee material in the archives, that rehearsal stuck out as a very important part of the KG timeline. The rehearsal was for their appearance on the Mark & Brian Radio Show the following morning. After that appearance, Toy Matinee started to build a nice fan base in Southern California.
"O Come, O Come Emmanuel" was recorded at a rehearsal the night before The 1990 Mark & Brian Christmas Show.
The last set of tracks are taken from a live show on their short tour. I felt those tracks highlight some of Kevin's piano and vocal talents. Marc Bonilla also shines in some of his soloing.
My vision for this release was to have this be the center piece of the Toy Matinee CD puzzle. The studio album, followed by the rehearsals & also having a taste of their live sound, finishing up with their full show at The Roxy. It all fits into chronological order:
• Toy Matinee - 1990
-special edition contains demos/aternate tracks
• Toy Matinee Acoustic
-November 27, 1990 - acoustic rehearsal
-December 20, 1990 - acoustic rehearsal/Christmas song
-April 21, 1991 - concert tracks - Ventura, CA
• Live At The Roxy
-May 1, 1991 - Hollywood, CA
If you ever have the time to spend, try listening to the set in that order.
I hope there are more and more releases in the near future!
By the way, you can listen to the Toy Matinee radio appearance from the Christmas show right here, which was also their first performance in front of a crowd:

Fast forward to 7:55 for "Last Plane Out", "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel", and "El Paso"...

Thanks for this information. Good reason to fill in a blank spot in my KG-collection, the Rubinoos-CD.
Happy birthday, Kevin... thanks for the great music!
Damn, I don't even want to think about all the music that he had left in him, had he lived.
I happened on this on YT today. Really interesting, with additional material and lyrics.

I was almost going to pull the trigger but $23 for shipping to Canada is hard to manage.
happy 50th birthday.
I bought one of those remaining 2CD copies of TSOTT because I'd heard a lot of good things about the album and I knew this version wasn't going to come around again. But I haven't listened to it yet. Anyone have any opinion on the spoken-word version of the album?
I was there and it was great! One of the singers is American, by the way: Sun Caged frontman Paul Adrian Villareal, who was living in Germany back then.
BUT... more to follow in the future, according to their FB page:
Exciting News!
