Dylan Howe's Subterranean - New Designs On Bowie's Berlin

Just got word of this little gem, Dylan Howe's take on Bowie's Berlin era music. Jazzy for certain, quite good! A second cousin to Glass's Low Symphony?

It is, indeed, excellent. Dylan has said that Glass's arrangements were very influential on his own.

I love it, and started a thread which sank quickly last year, may this one find more listeners, it's a very good album indeed.

His piano/drums duo version of Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" is also great.

Following the Bowie Prom last night, I was thinking about other interpretations of the great man's work and reached for Dylan's Subterranean again today, it remains as brilliant as ever. Hand down one of my favourite releases in recent times.

I never got to hear the Stravinsky piano/drums release, and whilst I can get this as a download via Amazon, I really want the CD. Does anybody have a link where I can pick this up for less than a kings ransom?

You could try asking Dylan himself on his Facebook page?

Excellent idea... I found and downloaded the MP3s via my music account, and have been enjoying it since, but the old collector in me likes a CD.
