    Progstreaming 2015 updates

    Hello prog-fans around the world.

Happy 2015 to you and yours! Hope you'll be a regular visitor of Progstreaming, Progstreaming Classic, Fusion Streaming, Classical Streaming and Indie Streaming this year too. Did you know all of them (except Progstreaming Classic) have their own newsletter. Apply to all. Plus all sites have RSS-feeds, so you can add them to your Outlook, browser, or whatever. All have Facebook and Twitter, so that you can like, share, tweet and support any kind of favorite artist you have.

So this update we bring you:

    * Red Jasper - The Great And Secret Show (their first album in 17 years!)
    * Rocket Scientists - Refuel (feat. Erik Norlander)
    * Spires - The Whisperer
    * Freedom To Glide - Sick To Death EP
    * Fernando Refay - The Day We Came To Realise (member of Vanished From Earth)
    * Orchestre Celesti - The Court Of Miracles Vol. 1

Note also that streams by Ne Obliviscaris, Nightingale, Solstafir, UPF (with ex-members of Unitopia), Cross, Eyesberg, Citizen Cain's Stewart Bell and Nick Karch (member of Bolus) will run for just one more week, starting now!)

    Also:
    * Note that all streaming sites run for free, and are dependent on our partners (Beyond Rock, Just for Kicks, Syn-Phonic, Kinesis and BTF). So buying through them helps our cause too.
    * We also receive a small percentage for anything you buy through Amazon, if you first click one of our buttons. Anything. Buy a new car, plane or house through Amazon, please!
    * And click a Google add once in a while. Every click gives us like 2 cents. That's not a lot, but it's still a couple of dollars a day.
    * Donate! This month you'll get a free CD no matter what you donate. Donate a euro each with one-hundred-and-thirty-six of your friends if you hate our guts!
    * If you've already bought or downloaded one of the streams on our page, support your artists by sharing the streams, liking it, use Twitter, just spread the word! Don't keep your discoveries to yourself!

    Enjoy the music!

My work welcomed me to the New Year by blocking progstreaming again (although progstreamingclassic survived). I guess I'm back to listening at home.

Ventured over to the excellent Progstreaming site this morning. I checked out Andy Tillison's Multiplex - "Electric Sinfonia No. 2" and found it quite nice! Much more in common with the big fusion bands of the 70s than the more quirky symphonic approach of the Tangent material. I'm quite impressed with this one, particularly considering Andy plays every instrument on the album!

Next up is the new Red Jasper album, and then I have to move on to the stack of CDs on the table beside me. So much music, never enough time.

    Hi,

I'm pleased to announce the first update of Progstreaming Classic, containing 6 new streams, 5 of them reissues of progressive releases you probably haven't discovered yet, and one excellent, fun live-album:

    * Gaillion - Admit One > 25th Anniversary Remix and Remaster.
    * Vedda Tribe - Vedda Tribe > Out on Lizard Records.
    * Primitive Instinct - Brown Bear`s Picnic > brand new live-album, out on CD and download.
    * Vezhlivy Otkaz - Go To It!... > CD + DVD reissue, out on AltrOck Records.
    * Odessa - The Final Day > Out on Lizard Records.
    * Rudiger Lorenz - Invisible Voices > reissue out on LP and CD.

Did you know Progstreaming Classic has its own Facebook? Give it a like at http://www.facebook.com/progstreamingclassic.

Note that within one week some of the older streams at the bottom of the site will disappear. Give it one more listen while you can, and please order those you'll like.

    Enjoy the music!

    Hi there!

Here's a terrific update for you!

    * Beardfish - +4626-Comfortzone (InsideOut)
    * Unreal City - Il Paese Del Tramonto (BTF/AMS/Bandcamp)
    * Contact - First Contact > Majeure (Zombi) + Paul Lawler (Temporary Residence)
    * Riders Of The Universe - Amen Road
    * Cea Serin - The Vibrant Sound Of Bliss And Decay (Generator Prog)
    * Posto Blocco 19 - Motivi Di Sempre (Lizard)
    * Schizoid Lloyd - The Last Note In God`s Magnum Opus (Blood Music)
    * Echo Us - II~XII, A Priori Memoriae

    Also:
    * If you're already a fan, please use the direct links to promote these streams at your Facebook. That works best in Chrome. Give it a 'like' too, by clicking that small button under each artwork. That helps, for the more 'likes', the more appeal. You stumble upon a stream with more than a 100 likes? That's probably an album that you NEED to listen.
    * Why not tweet about certain favorite albums? There's a small twitter-button too, for you to do that. It's the same thing here: when an album doesn't get talked about, it will most likely fall into oblivion quite soon. So if you're enthousiastic about a certain band, help them by developing a 'buzz'. No buzz, no interest, no listens, no likes, and hence - no sales.
    * To support Progstreaming, please click some Google adds, and buy everything EXCEPT music at Amazon (first click one of the buttons of course). Buy music at our sponsors. The shipping rates give you a heart attack? Buy from one that's near to you. He seems not to have it? Ask them. We know them all personally, and they'll probably go that extra mile for you.
    * If you have a lot of money, support Progstreaming by clicking on that donate-button. That makes us happy, especially with all those plans we have for the future. Plus you'll receive a free random CD that we've previously streamed if it's more than $ 20.
    * Remember that LogoS-album? It's now available on Vinyl too, we might revisit that *again* soon. Any way, we've got 3 CDs to give away if you can tell us the title. First 3, and no donations needed!
    * Get the Indie Streaming newsletter, for there's a competition coming up for that too, soon. See http://www.indiemusicstreaming.com for that.

Please also check http://www.progstreamingclassic.com/, for we had a big update a couple of days ago.

    Enjoy the music!

    Hi there!

Today we have a special feature:

    * The Gathering - TG25, Diving Into The Unknown
A luxury 3CD digipack, out now on Suburban Records, and available at their own webshop, Sounds Delft and Bol.com

This one is streaming at both Indie Streaming and Progstreaming Classic!

    Competition!
Thanks to the Gathering we are now able to give away 3 of those digipacks! For this you'll need to do the following:
    * Subscribe to our Indie Streaming newsletter. Do this here: http://indiemusicstreaming.com/pages/newsletter.php
    * Answer this question: 'What's your favorite The Gathering-album, and your favorite The Gathering-song, and why?' and then send the answer to either progstreaming@gmail.com (reply to this) or indiestreaming@gmail.com

Don't forget we've had a terrific update yesterday Progstreaming HQ with the new Beardfish, a stunning project called Contact (feat. member of Zombi), the premiere of Unreal City, and a couple of more great albums.

    Stay slow!

Spent the day today with the new Beardfish and Unreal City albums! These were both auto-buys for me anyway but it's nice to know I like both of them beforehand! Thanks Progstreaming.

Well, that was a waste of streaming then

Seriously though, thanks for the compliments. Progstreaming is doing really well, by the way. One let-down was that recently Kscope jumped ship, because (like so many labels nowadays) the seem to rather like to see streaming as a revenue-source instead as promotion tool, although we actually pay copyright (as little as possible though). But especially Indie Streaming is growing rapidly. Classical Streaming is struggling though. I might pull the plug there. New is www.popstreaming.com, but I'm not sure if I'll spend much time promoting that one.

Next will be Singer Songwriter Streaming (or Roots Streaming, don't know about the name yet) and Festival Streaming. Will be fun

    Hi there!

    New streams at Progstreaming are:

    * Subterranean Masquerade - The Great Bazaar > Out on CD, and black and bronze (!) LP
    * Moorder - Moorder II (Lizard) > Out on CD and MP3
    * Soen - Tellurian (Spinefarm) > Out on CD and 2LP
    * Regal Worm - Neither Use Nor Ornament > Out on CD and MP3 (combined packages available)
    * The Bad Mexican - Due (Lizard) > Out on CD, MP3
    * Steam Theory - Asunder > Out on 2CD or MP3
    * No More Pain - The Post Human Condition > Out on CD or MP3
    * Inner Drive - Oasis (Lizard) > Out on CD and MP3
    * Deep Limbic System - The Embryo EP > Out on CD (limited 500 copies) and MP3
    * Hollow Branches - The Hum EP > Out on MP3 ('name your price')

    Also, important:

    * Give the ones you like a Facebook-'like'. Of course also if you've already bought it, or received a copy because you know someone in the band. Every 'like' is important. The more 'likes', the more appeal to other visitors.
    * Buy your music directly or through one of our trusted partners Just for Kicks, Beyond Rock, BTF and Kinesis.
    * Buy your digital releases on the band's Bandcamp, or at Amazon MP3 for instant satisfaction. Amazon is often very cheap! Buy other stuff at Amazon too. Did you know Progstreaming receives a percentage (aprox. 6%, so that's not that bad, isn't it?) for everything you buy?
    * Click a Google add every day.

    Enjoy the music!

    New at www.progstreamingclassic.com:
    * Moon Safari - Live In Mexico > new, 2CD live set! Available on 2CD almost everywhere, and on MP3 at their Bandcamp and Amazon MP3 (on which it is ONLY $6.93, must be a mistake, take advantage of it right now!)
    * La Nuova Raccomandata con Ricevuta di Ritorno - Live In Elba > available on CD and black or orange (limited!) LP!
    * Unreal City - La Crudelta Di Aprile > 2013-debut, revisited because the new album is such a big success (and is still streaming at Progstreaming HQ), you might have missed it.
    * Steve Cochrane - With Or Without > 2015-remix and reissue (on CD and MP3) of his 2007 released album!

    New at www.progstreaming.com:
    * Cailyn - Voyager > full-blown prog-album from this master guitarist, inspired by Holst' The Planets
    * R11 - Waschmaschine > out now on Lizard Records!
    * Airportman - David > out now on Lizard Records!
    * Tom Moto - Allob Allen > out now on Lizard Records!
    * AlithiA - To The Edge Of Time
    * Trojan Horse - World Turned Upside Down > out on Bad Elephant Music!

    Don't forget!
    * Click some Google adds if you want to support Progstreaming. In fact, click on all our adds, especially if you want to buy a certain CD. All the stores we put under the stream come highly recommended!
    * Donate for Progstreaming using the donate button on the site. If you donate more than $20 you will automatically receive a random CD that have previously been streaming on the sites!
    * Buy at Amazon your digital releases (often the cheapest!)
    * Check our other sites, especially Indie Streaming (see link below), which is growing rapidly!
    * Like all our Facebook-pages and follow us on both Twitter-accounts!

    Hi there,

We have just the one disc, but a very special one:

    * Story Of A Life - Story Of A Life

This one features members of the acclaimed and often highly praised progressive rock-forum called Progressive Ears. They've been around since "The Single Factor" was voted 1982's best album of the year. It's filled with Yes-fans. It's also filled with some Genesis-fans. It's that forum that keeps Geoff Downes' awake at night, shaken with fears and nightmare. It's a forum on which people joke about Gentle Giant a lot. You should take a visit at www.progressiveears.org.

The CD is available to download at their CDBaby or Amazon MP3 (for just $4.99, that's probably a mistake, for it's $6.99 at their CDBaby, so grab it there before they've fixed that!) and there's also a CD at CDBaby. Follow the small red links!

Enjoy the forum! Oh, and the music!

Thanks, Markwin! I hope you all check it out if you have yet to. And as a funny aside, I gave the guys in Yes each a copy when we saw them at the show last fall. Geoff sent me a nice email a month or so later saying they “enjoyed it in the car on the road”. I’m sure they didn’t all travel together, but it’s still pretty groovy.

I don't think I've ever told you how much I appreciate what you and your efforts have done to expose good music to a wider audience, Markwin.

    So I'm doing it now.

Listening to Bearddfish right now for the first time. Rikard is absolutely one of my favorite people to talk to (have conversed twice), and seems almost as American in conversation as he does Swedish.

IMO he is one of the great younger progressive music geniuses.

Let's do two premieres in two days! Here's the first:

    * Krakow - Amaran

It's out now on Karisma Record's dark little sister Dark Essence Records, and available on CD and LP. The digital version is only a mere $ 6.93 and available through Amazon. You can find all the links and banners you'll need under the player, so don't worry.

Thanks for all my Birthday-wishes yesterday. To congratulate me the best, buy something for yourself, really expensive. Anything you want or need. Just first click one of Progstreaming's Amazon-banner, haha.

    Enjoy the music!

Today we have the premiere of:

    * Momentum - The Freak Is Alive

    Yesterday we had the excellent:

    * Krakow - Amaran

    Hi there!

These are our new streams at Progstreaming:

    * La Coscienza Di Zeno - La Notte Anche Di Giorno
    * The Nerve Institute - Fictions
    * Simon Steensland - A Farewell To Brains
    * Alco Frisbass - Alco Frisbass

All releases by the excellent AltrOck/Fading, that Italian leading avant-prog (AltrOck) and excellent old-school progrock (Fading), that deserves your support for bringing out this excellent music. And if the signs are any good, I can see from a distance there's more to come from these guys!

    Also:

    * Competition time! Riders Of The Universe have send us 5 copies to give away to our listeners. Find out who has done their excellent cover-art, and you will have a good chance in winning one copy. Please listen to their brilliant new album right here: http://www.progstreaming.com/_wb/pag...%20Amen%20Road.
    * Send in your current 5 favorite progrock-albums of this moment to the monthly Progressive Chart. Here's how: http://www.progressivechart.com. Vote every month, get it in your agenda!
    * Please know that in order to support Progstreaming, please visit all our sponsors and click our adds, if they appeal to you.
    * Please also visit Indie Streaming, and apply for the newsletter, which will soon start full-swing. A lot of the stuff out there will appeal to progrock-fans too (Zammuto, Mono, Watter, Todd Tobias, Maybeshewill, Midnight Masses, the list goes on and on). Here's the link to bookmark. Did you know where probably the last on earth with a healthy RSS-feed for your browser? We still think it's a good tool.
    * EXTRA IMPORTANT: Invite your friends to 'like' our Facebook-pages. Go to https://www.facebook.com/progstreaming and on the left side you will find 'Invite your friends to like this Page'. Click all your friends, or just a few you think will like Progstreaming. Then e-mail me (progstreaming@gmail.com) and I will do the same for your band-, label- or company-page. And I got 3800 friends, so expect a 100 likes at least.
