    No, this thread is about a radio show not the tv programme, it sort of got sidetracked, but hey-ho.

    They go to your door in Japan and will check for antenas around your place. And there is nothing redeemable about Japanese Tv (appart from Mini Skirt Patrol that was on at midnight in the 1990s. I miss high culture...

    It's worth it just for the wealth of BBC radio stations IMO, though most is spent on the populist BBC One TV.
    A TV license it is not needed for radio, maybe 40 or more years ago that was the case but not anymore. So although the BBC uses the TV license fee money to fund its radio stations you do not need a license to listen.

    Those outside the UK will probably need some sort of IP filter to access it.
