Rest in peace to my favorite lovely "Hillbilly."

And there won't be any shade to cool the monument to prove that we were here. - Gene Parsons, 1973

Ellie Mae outlived Granny by 11 years.
Bummer, she was a hot one back in the day.
Yeah I had a crush on her too. I actually met her in person once back in the 70s. She really was a beautiful woman. I liked Maryanne and Ginger more but Elley Mae was pretty damn hot.

As a strange coincidence, on New Year's Day, I happened to be watching the Twilight Zone episode, "Eye Of The Beholder," in which a credited Donna Douglas, makes an appearance in the last several minutes. I only learned yesterday that she passed. A true beauty. R.I.P.

RIP to a great comedic actress (with a great set of gams to boot)

You were not alone, my friend. I have been doing that every year for years...

mmmm thinking about the episode int he last season where Ellie Mae started dating a Navy frogman, and he was planning to teach her to be a scuba diver. So we very briefly get to see her in a wetsuit...YIKES!
(And of course, Granny thought she was literally going to turn into a frog or something similarly inane, because she didn't understand what "frogman" meant)
Seems like she's more remembered by her assets than her acting. RIP
She was how I knew I was heterosexual back when I was 5 or 6 - she had some kind of affect on me. Couldn't explain it at the time.
Thank God Jethro Bodine didn't do it for me!!! But whatever. She was a fine actor and the world is a worse place without her in it.

I never realized before that The Beverly Hillbillies was the precursor to behavior modification drugs.
RIP to an underrated comedic actor who, yes indeed, was a stone fox.

Actually, you're not very far off from their positive cultural effect. In the wake of the JFK assassination, there were two phenomena that helped a grieving nation recover from the tragedy, by diverting their attention. It was The Beverly Hillbillies massive popularity and a little something called Beatlemania.
Great trivia question: What do The Beatles and The Beverly Hillbillies have in common?

I went to school with her for one year. Sweet Southern belle, so they said.
