What is a Flac file that's marked as 'de-ringed"?
What is a Flac file that's marked as 'de-ringed"?
It's been explained. During the recording of an album, extraneous noise is heard (probably very faint) in some songs. In the 'de-ringed' files, that is omitted.
Every time I see a reference to "Flac" I think of Phlakaton.
Phlakka phlakka phlakaton cash. Ker-chaffa, ker-chaffa. Oum ka ka oum-er ka kaf dof. Flibbet, flibbet, flibbet, flibbet. Raka taka raka taka BISH!
I think one would need to be an anal audiophile listening with ridiculously high-end headphones to hear any difference. I don't even have cheap headphones (and wearing cheap sunglasses is no help).
