    Flac question

What is a Flac file that's marked as 'de-ringed"?

It's been explained. During the recording of an album, extraneous noise is heard (probably very faint) in some songs. In the 'de-ringed' files, that is omitted.

I think one would need to be an anal audiophile listening with ridiculously high-end headphones to hear any difference. I don't even have cheap headphones (and wearing cheap sunglasses is no help).

that reminds me of clip of The Doors - Backstage and Dangerous, where Jim said, "Every time I hear a 'fuck', I see dollar signs above my eyebrows." I like that. makes me smile.
