Fred Frith At The Stone in NYC - Anybody go? Anybody going?

Fred Frith is at The Stone in NYC this week. Normally I would have gone, but as I'm getting over being seriously sick plus the fact I'm unemployed, I can't go. So has anybody on PE gone or will go? Tonight there is a set with John Zorn & Frith. On Sunday there is as a set with Nels Cline and Frith. Fred is a true original. If you go, tell Bruce from Downtown Music Gallery that Bob says hi.

Fred Frith is one of a few guitarists still on my Bucket List. NYC is a LONG ways from Atlanta so I'll just have to read some nice reviews later on.

Frith and Cline - now THAT sounds amazing! Two of the most interesting electric axers on the whole planet!

I've seen Frith with Zorn before, and it was just as fulfilling as I expected. But Frith and Cline... Phewshh!

I'm going to try to catch Frith and Zorn tonight but I expect a huge line for that one. I'm going to take my mom to the Ikue Mori show tomorrow. Hopefully we can get into that one!

I saw Frith back in February, here in Cleveland. He put on a good show, and it was nice to see friends I hadn't seen in years.

Work schedule gets in the way again, but I'd like to make it out to the Zorn/Frith one for sure.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

Never let good music get in the way of making a profit.

I'm only here to reglaze my bathtub.

I've been to New York a couple times but never to the Stone. Is getting in often an issue considering their "no advance tickets" policy?

You just have to get their early. An hour before the show should be good.
