Wow, a legit reissue of Kestrel was really overdue.

Some questions on the Hawkwind Album:

Will that be the same as "THE COLLECTORS SERIES VOL. 2: LIVE 1982 (CHOOSE YOUR MASQUES)" ? a double CD?
Hope that it will feature the complete concert in the right order without spliced tracks (as in the Album above).

Should have had a look at your website before asking

Ok it's a double, order of tracks is correct. But the last three tracks seem to miss, any reason for that???

    Looking forward to Sanguine Hum!
Along with new Steven Wilson, Neal Morse, Steve Hackett, etc., early 2015 is shaping up nicely :-)

I think so. Those ugly boot CDs and that expensive Korean thing never really did the trick. Although the quality of this album remains up for discussion (I personally think it's quite good and at least very sweet!), there's no doubt about its potential for a certain "genre" appeal.

It's the Sanguine Hum I'm really waiting for here, though.

+1 on that. Might go for the live VDGG as well for 'Flight.'
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

A new Man studio album? Who is in the lineup these days?

I'm just listening to 'Diamonds and Coal' which is pretty good.

The first was really good, the second was terrific. I hope they continue to develop from strength to strength!

Does it matter that this waste of time is what makes a life for you?

    Indeed.

IMO they are one of the more interesting current British progressive groups, together with Kavus' various activities, TFKoE, Stars in Battledress, Schnauser, These New Puritans, Autumn Chorus and Thumpermonkey. I think the true strength with Sanguine Hum is their ability to explore seemingly straight-forward and lineary melodics through rather unconventional angles. Thus they may appear another "post-Porky" combo on casual listen (and espec with unseasoned listeners), soon revealing something far more elaborate and attentive to detail.

The Phillips and Sanguine Hum I believe will be auto-buys! Looking forward to the new sounds...

Im glad so many have a lot of love for Sanguine Hum and Schnauser--both very different, both excellent. I think Schnausers will be up on Spotify soon (we have an initial exclusion) I will check, if you havent heard it, I thoroughly recommend it if you like that early Softs/Canterbury kind of "feel" but with a very modern twist too.

The new SH album builds I think very well on the previous two albums.

Nice to see the Kestrel coming out domestically, and will be curious to read the liners and hear the bonus tracks.

I do feel obligated to mention that this is not the first legit version though. There are 3 that have come from Japan (Teichiku and Victor are the first two - I once owned the former, and currently own the latter), and finally one last year on Belle Antique, which features the same bonus tracks (perhaps in different order):

    2.1 August Carol (Different Version)
    2.2 The Acrobat (Different Version)
2.3 Part of the Machine (Outtake)
    2.4 The Searcher (Outtake)
    2.5 August Carol (Single Edit)
    2.6 Wind Cloud (Single Edit)

I think on our sales notes it states UK first release, the Japanese ones are often quite pricey

Is Bill Nelson's 'Noise Candy' still on for Jan 2015?
