King Crimson - Live At The Orpheum (cd/dvda preorder)

Burning Shed is now accepting pre-orders for the mini-live performance from the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. The band played two nights. I was at the second nights show. Does anyone know which night this release will be? Regardless I'm excited.

I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.

Oh. Didn't see the other post. My bad. But spreading this news isn't a bad thing.

Yeah, we've been bitching about the tracklist all afternoon--but don't worry, it's not too late to join in.

Looks like a mix of both.

Thought game--how would you pick a compilation from this tour's setlist if you were limited to a mini-album of 40 or so minutes like this one? I would have gone for:

    Larks' I
    Level Five
    'Trio'-style improv
    TCoL
    Bells interlude
    Sailor's Tale
    Drum trio
    Vrooom/Marine 475

Now that would have been a hummer.

I figured those select people would appreciate a seperate thread for this... because how am I supposed to know 6 hours or now longer ago - this was mentioned in a different thread about "spoilers" and dated "9/8/14"

What were they thinking about releasing a single disc live recording with only 41 minutes on it? Not only would I have been interested in a full live performance, I was actually hoping for a big box set containing every night of the tour in their entirety.

Don't worry... I'm sure it is coming; maybe sooner, maybe later, but it is coming...

I imagine it might have had something to do with nostalgia for the vinyl age. Which still doesn't explain shortening this one so much, since the set still could have made for a 75-minute double LP instead.
