"My choice early in life was either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or a politician, and to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference"
President Harry S. Truman
The Troggs: Wild Thing
Radiohead: Creep
Journey: The Wheel in the Sky
The Looking Glass: Brandy
Stealer's Wheel: Stuck in the Middle with You
The Hollywood Argyles: Alley Oop
Okay, yeah, Rock On by David Essex is the only one I know by him. Which brings to mind Gary Glitter, "Rock and Roll Part 2".
And someone mentioned Miley Cyrus -- mine is When I Look At You, Paulstretched out to 8x.
rcarlberg: Is there anything sadder than a song that has never been played?
Plasmatopia: Maybe a song in D minor that has never been played?
bob_32_116: That would be a terrific triple bill: Cyan, Magenta and Yello.
trurl: The Odyssey: "He's trying to get home."
Journey to the Center of Your Mind- Amboy Dukes
Time Has Come Today - Chambers Brothers
Blank Frank - Eno
High Tide and Green Grass- Outlaws
I checked both of these out on Youtube and didn't recognize either. Listened to all the New York FM stations in the 70's and only ever remember hearing All Right Now. After hearing these tunes, I really should have investigated their albums back then, good stuff. Sounds like Bad Company reworked "Fire and Water" to come up with "Ready for Love" though.
You say Mega Ultra Deluxe Special Limited Edition Extended Autographed 5-LP, 3-CD, 4-DVD, 2-BlueRay, 4-Cassette, five 8-Track, MP4 Download plus Demos, Outtakes, Booklet, T-Shirt and Guitar Pick Gold-Leafed Box Set Version like it's a bad thing...
I'm Your Captain (Closer to Home) - Grand Funk Railroad
Used to like more from this band. Now, this is the only one.
Love is Like Oxygen - Sweet
Almost sounds like it could be a 10CC song. Quite a bit of the rest of their catalog is just silly.
And if there were a god, I think it very unlikely that he would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt His existence - Russell
Madness-One step beyond
Michael Schenker Group-Lost Horizons
Aerosmith-Dude (looks like a lady)

Wouldn't know about football, I'm totally un-American when it comes to sports (acerbically avoid the lot).
He's persona non grata over here, too (that sort of !@#$%^&* is unforgivable here), but I associate the two because I had a K-tel record way back when that had (abbreviated versions of) both tracks on it. I try not to think about that other stuff because it makes me cringe.

My list isn't really fair, because I haven't everything any of these artists have done, but based on that imperfect criteria:
Rickie Lee Jones - Last Chance Texaco
Sweet - Love Is Like Oxygen
Loggins & Messina - Pathway To Glory (oh, and 'be free', woops, I guess that's two)
Edgar Winter - Frankenstein
Pretty sure there are others, especially with 'arena rock' type of stuff I don't like, doing one 'melodic' or 'proggy' song.
Got two for ya'll:
Nazareth "Hair Of The Dog"
Miley Cyrus "Wrecking Ball"
The Prog Corner
I'm really enjoying the posts in this thread and especially how some of the replies are almost confession-like. It speaks volumes about our diversity here on PE to hear of members who like only only one Beatles track or who are particularly enamoured of a song by a pop diva!
Here's a few more of mine.
Thom Yorke: Black Swan - Great song but the rest of The Eraser is pretty forgettable and I haven't bothered with his latest.
Japan: Ghosts - I think this is sheer brilliance but nothing else of theirs has ever really grabbed me.
Eskimo Joe: Foreign Land - IMHO this is pure pop rock genius but I didn't like the rest of the album and I'm not fussed on their other singles so that's it for me.

Eskimo Joe
"One should never magnify the harsh light of reality with the mirror of prose onto the delicate wings of fantasy's butterfly"
Thumpermonkey - How I Wrote The French Lieutenant's Woman
"I'm content to listen to what I like and keep my useless negative opinions about what I don't like to myself -- because no one is interested in hearing those anyway, and it contributes absolutely nothing to the conversation."

Pearl Jam: BLACK
Here is the version with Lyrics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QV2iYFl5eSk

Toyah (Ms. Fripp) - Angel and Me
Ace of Base - The Sign

If I hear Free on the radio, it will most likely be All Right Now, or (less commonly) Wishing Well. The only other song I remember from back in the day is my Brother Jack (Jake?) which was a minor hit in this country. They were an OK band for what they were, but it's not the sort of music I buy.
