I would be very careful about this. I haven't heard anything about this. I would have likely have seen something on FB about it from the ELP FB site.

Yeah. I'm not ordering until it shows up on some official channels.

I just checked the ELP MerchStore on FB. No sign of a "Deluxe Edition" of Trilogy.

If this is official, I'll be picking it up!

This will apparently feature the new Jakko Jakszyk remixes:

It's not by ELP - it's by that well known duo Lake & Palmer Emerson, apparently...

A three disc set. I'm supposing its new mixes, flat transfer, maybe 3rd disc is a DVD? I'm happy with the original Atlantic cd of this myself. But I'm open for something better

Isn't this old news? I think the release has been pushed back a couple of times but you know it will eventually get here.

I'm concerned with the bigger picture.

Is this kind of thing common in Hi-Rez releases in general or is this an isolated incident?

So, what is he saying exactly? It's like a mixed review.

I bought it a while ago actually, but only listened to the new stereo mixes so far. The bonus track of 'From The Beginning' is pretty meh. It sounds exactly the same, but has a different emo solo at the end, that really is not as good as the final one they used. Also, there was something about the title track 'Trilogy' that sounded different is some parts, that certain Moog sounds were not as prominent as on the original recording. It made me want to do a comparison, but I never did.

The biggest mystery on this set is "Living Sin". It contains a few measures in the middle that seemingly were cut from the final version, but are back in. So, the song takes an odd turn, then returns.

I don't have 5.1 so I can't say anything about that. Maybe that's where the package could be worthwhile, but the rest I wouldn't recommend anyone get.

I think the 5.1 is pretty awesome and I really love Living Sin with that extra passage. Glad I got it.

Living Sin is awesome track, a jazzy type of hard rock, and it's good to have the complete version.

$13 on Amazon, just for trying how this prog classic 5.1 sounds?
What are you cheap guys discussing about?
    This is dirt cheap!
This is almost three time cheaper than latest Gilmore's set or any 5.1 Jethro Tull release.
Naturally, if you don't have/listen to 5.1 and already have a remastered version that sounds good, you probably don't need to bother. I have mini-LP Japanese remaster, and it sounds awesome.
My only complain is all ELP 5.1. releases are too sick and take too much space on my shelf.

Me too; it's the best production/recording of any of their classic '70s albums.

    Bingo!

Besides, unless the original mix/master is atrocious, I'd rather spend my hard earned cash on something I don't already have.
