Relax. This isn't some sort of official poll or anything. Feel free to throw out any 2 of my 12 if it pleases you.

I don't think the site can handle that much bandwidth.

This was the first entry after typing 'definition of classic' in Google:

    clas-sic
    /ˈklasik/

    Adjective
Judged over a period of time to be of the highest quality and outstanding of its kind.

    Noun
A work of art of recognized and established value.

    Synonyms
    classical - standard

It strikes me that no matter how you attempt to qualify the term, such as by using the adverb 'widely' (which is vague anyway), it remains subjective.

I quite share the J.L.Borges defifnition, though he spoke about classical books. His thought could be extrapolated on any kind of art, I suppose so. Classic is not something that must have some this or that essential merits, but it is work of art, which make different generations of people, prompted by different reasons, return to it again and again with inapprehensible devotion.
Mystical probably, but intention is clear.

I had thought of Aion (which is their proggier album IMHO), but I tried to limit my list somehow
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
