New work by Sarah Kirkland Snider.
Rick (L) got me hooked on Koppel Symphony No. 4....a Danish composer who fled the Nazis during the war and lived until 1998. This piece was written in 1946 and is three movements. I need to explore more of his stuff but I'm stuck on his 4th on repeat mode. I'd say this a must-listen.
If it isn't Krautrock, it's krap.
"And it's only the giving
That makes you what you are" - Ian Anderson
I didn't know this piece. Nice surprise!
Shostakovich 10 totally rocks. I a watching a live performance of his 6th right now. Paavo Jarvi and Estonian Festival Orchestra.
Brahms Requiem=awesomeness.
"And this is the chorus.....or perhaps it's a bridge...."
I just bought a version from Naxos that was quite different from what I've heard it before
