    Hi Friends -

Berliner Phil has a free voucher at their site to access their incredible HD concert videos for FREE, as in the entire library! Incredible! Go to the site, register, and watch for weeks and weeks. I sent them a message thanking them for this amazing gift. Enjoy...

Thanks, Frank! I'm gonna see what they've got. I've been playing Mahler 3 all weekend trying to get more familiar with this one. I'm listening to Tennstedt / London Philharmonic.

Wuorinen, one of the giants in my estimation.

    Just died on March 11.

Another great, Krystof Penderecki, just died yesterday, 3/29.

My favorite violin concerto of all time, Violin Concerto No.2 'Metamorphosen'

I was listening to John Fernstrom's String Quartet 5 and really enjoyed it...but no sign of it on Youtube, so here's a movement from #7. I'm not a big fan of chamber music in general, but I'm thinking I'll eventually be adding all of Fernstrom's stuff to my collection (I already have one or two CD's of symphonies). --Peter
