    Re: Webern

I'm a fan. I have the Boulez recordings on Sony, and I bought a string CD by the Artis Quartett. I got to hear some of the quartet pieces performed live at a small chamber music concert about a year ago including the romantic Langsamer Satz, and the bagatelles.

Beautiful piece of the more quiet and non-adventurous kind.

I purchased a recording of this back in the 80's. Haven't listened to it in years. I remember liking it a lot. Thanks for reminding me of this. I'll have to pull the vinyl out and play it again.

    2 rimjob songs by Mozart.

Mozart has never been a favorite of mine, neither this, but it is kind of peculiar.

    Lili Boulanger Psalm 130

    Lili Boulanger died 25 years old (1893 – 1918). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lili_Boulanger
Her older sister Nadia, (1887 – 1979) performed her music long after.

She was an amazing talent. I have a couple of CDs. Of course her sister Nadia was the famous teacher.

Does anyone here like Robert Simpson? I have his symphonies and find most of them to be enjoyable.

Just got Richard Wetz Symphony no 3. Some call it his masterpiece. The samples sound great. Can’t wait to play it tomorrow.
