would love to see more, the changes in the 80's, Elefante years, Steve Morse, Steinhardt's return & exit, STE sessions, Steve's retirement, etc...
looks like a great doc but only takes you to 1977. it leaves you wanting more, i guess.

Not sure I want to buy it but would love to see it.
Still remember being blown away hearing the first Kansas album.
I keep seeing here that they're stopping at 1977, but Kerry and Steve were in the band until 1980-81. Are they ignoring Monolith and Audiovisions? You'd think they'd stop at 1980. But yeah, I'm disappointed that they're only focusing on the "glory years." I'm the first to admit that the albums Drastic Measures, Power, and In The Spirit of Things are the Kansas albums (and era) that I disliked the most, but it would still be interesting to see the guys talk about that era and the one's that followed too. I was really hoping for something along the lines of "Beyond The Lighted Stage" which is an excellent biography of Rush covering all eras (and really focusing a lot on the 70s).
Let's be honest. "Kerry and Dave became Christian and boy did Steve hate that" would be really awkward.
"Arf." -- Frank Zappa, "Beauty Knows No Pain" (live version)
Why awkward? It's part of the history of the band. There was a difference in philosphy and the group started falling apart. Kerry and Dave form their own Christian band, Kansas breaks up, Steve joins the group again, etc., etc. I mean, I'd think the people who are interested in the story of this band will tend to be diehard fans who know the history of the band.
Very excited for this.
Publishing. Doh!

Monolith is one of the most underrated albums ever. It gets no love and I actually put it up there with their best work (although the debut remains one of my favorite LP's of all time - and most listened to!!!!) Great news. Can't wait to see this.
