Just came across their debut release. Quite outstanding. Anybody else got any views ?

Just read about them on Progarchives, and they seem interesting, but that name might be a problem.

I stumbled upon this album, their third apparently, and halfway throught the first song I was already mighty impressed and that feeling remained for the whole of the album. Excellent Italian prog by what seems like quite a young band. In attitude it reminded me a bit of Barock Project's Skyline album.

"III" is quite good... I like the double bass drum approach, it adds intensity to their heavier parts.

vocals on III are pretty average. Faronatto on II sounded a lot better. So in my view III is let down...

I didn't like that they added vocals for the 2nd so the 3rd is probably a NO for me
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

Agree. Vocals are their weak point in III. II was much better in that respect.

Damn, that is quite harsh. I really can't call the vocals weak at all and I find them really enjoyable. I have heard FAR worse over the years.

In the annals of weak recommendations, this rates highly.

So I guess the thing to do with these three albums (I haven't heard the band yet) is to listen to them in the opposite chronological order. Then hopefully I'll like III, and then II a bit more, and then the first one even more still! I'll give that a try and report back...

When you get to II, watch these two videos. Live performances always give me an additional perspective on the music. (The audio quality of these is excellent).

I'm afraid I don't like anything the band has done since Anna left.

AS she did only II with them you don't seem to like the band very much :-)

I also liked "I" which was instrumental, so that's two of theirs I liked. Then they lost that cool mojo...
