    Jonny Toobad, RIP

"Music industry veteran Johnny Elichaoff, also known as Jonny Toobad while drumming for King Crimson‘s Robert Fripp, has died in an apparent suicide. He was 55.

Elichaoff’s path in music saw collaborations with a number of legendary acts. He was a part of the B-52′s, Stark Naked and the Car Thieves, and the League of Gentlemen with Fripp as well as XTC’s Barry Andrews and Sara Lee. He also opened for U2 and Siouxsie Sioux, and managed Tears for Fears.

Elichaoff fell from the same ledge he’d been talked down from two weeks ago at a mall west of London. Elichaoff had apparently closed a number of business interests in the period leading up to his death, the Sun says in a separate report."

RIP - I would have seen him with the League Of Gentlemen in around 1979.
