    Yes, I know it and Live/Dead (1969) and there certainly are qualities, but I haven't really connected with them.

    And I dont like their later country/americana affection.

    Garcia was a pretty good musicologist, supposedly. Do you mean "affectation," or as you said, "affection?" I think Country is minimizing it a lot, and IMO Americanahas its place, but YMMV or course. But, they're not for everyone almost in the same way that Magma isn't.
