    Tonight's menu:

Red Jasper -The Great And Secret Show This isn't musically too far from what they were doing in the 90s, but for me, the vocals are problematic. Way more in an AOR commercial direction, they're a step above Bon Jovi, but nothing like Davey Dodds in years gone by. It's OK, I guess, but if, like me, you think The Winter's Tale is an excellent album, there's no guarantee you will like this. If there's a connection with the Clive Barker novel, I didn't pay enough attention to the lyrics to notice.

Dave Pegg & PJ Wright -Galileo's Apology A nice Folk album that is carried by mandolin & acoustic guitar from these 2 stalwarts. Not much trad here, it's a solid album, but nothing happening that really grabs me by the throat. It's good, but no more.

Spirogyra 5 ((When The Cock Crows) One of my favorite bands, so I'm probably biased. This is very good, but not up to the level of their 70s output (sound familiar?) The production has taken all the rough edges off of Martin Cockerham's voice, and I don't know what to make of it. I don't know what they did. It's not age. It's still quite good, and if you are a fan of the band, it's pretty mandatory.

Yes, I know it's not prog, not rock, not classical, not jazz, but I like it. Reminds me on an old friend, I loved.

Some Rush-inspired jazz-rock by Kinky Wizzards on their second album Quirky Musings.

    Here's a nice mini-documentary on the band:

There are 5-6 tracks in this 'style', 3 tracks has Kraan members - the tracks are earworms!
The rest is a mix of what HH have been up to the last years. Nobody plays the bass like he does and with such confidence.
Same koncept as his first Bassball album many years ago.
