Well, there is a lot to explore. I have 25 albums by him, but that is including one collection. Still waiting for 2 albums to arrive and I'm going to order some more in the near future.

There is a lot of his stuff on YouTube on his own channel and also elswhere.
His cycle Qua (37CDs) is his most experimental. I don't have it and you can't find it on YouTube. These are seperate pieces, that can be combined, something someone has done on YouTube under Merging the audience.

    Ok,
Second spin of "Struggle for Pleasure": quite enjoyable and a must have too Rarebird!; too short! (20 minut.).

Found out at his site: "Struggle for Pleasure / Double Entendre.":
"Precisely 30 years after the release of Struggle for pleasure from the composer Wim Mertens he releases a double CD with, alongside the original titles, a selection of 10 previously unreleased tracks from his archives. This material date from the early 80’s and has been complemented with 2 new recordings of the tracks Salernes and Gentleman of leisure. Mertens composed those pieces principally in Salernes (south of France) at the beginning of the 80’s."

    Nice!.
Do you have it?, is it better to wait to get it and keep exploring his music or not?.

IŽll search/look for "Maximising the Audience".

Struggle for pleasure and Vergessen where also released on one CD, as With Ursura, which I own. I have both albums on vinyl as well. Double Entendre, I own as a seperate CD. It is music recorded at the same time as Struggle for pleasure and Vergessen and it contains 2 re-recorded pieces from Struggle for pleasure. The current edition Struggle for pleasure / Double entendre, contains both Struggle for pleasure and Vergessen (looking at the tracklist) and Double entendre.

Maximising the audience starts with weird piece for several clarinets. It is slowly building, with one part, stacked upon the next part and so on.
