The track Disinterested Bystander is the first bit on this promo.
    A good song for today

I've been thinking about power-pop lately, why I love it so much, how simple little songs can rock me so hard.

This one features Andy Partridge from XTC at the producer's helm (along with playing and singing IIRC).

This is the kind of jangle-pop arrangement that hits me just as hard as Karn Evil 9, Third Impression.

    This, my friends, is jangle.

More excellent power-pop, this time out of Seattle: Amateur Lovers. Released on Stone Gossard's vanity label (Loosegroove) in the '90s.

Spiral Realms - Solar Wind ... absolutely killer space stuff with the amazing violin work of Simon House (Hawkwind, Bowie, etc.) recorded live on Nik Turner's Space Ritual Tour.

Moetar - Where The Truth Lies (from Entropy of the Century). My 13 year old son popped his head around the door and asked 'what old nonsense are you listening to now, Dad?'. He's now off to put them on his Spotify list

Just finished Roine Stolt - Hydrophonia, and Steely Dan - Aja (of which the first 2 tracks are particularly glorious) Pondering what next? Oh, I hear my piano calling...

Obsessing over live Cars of late; who ever said this band couldn't do it live? I saw them in '84 and they were great, but my memory is hazy so seeing some concerts and live clips confirms it: the band is awesome.

Count those verses in 5; how cool is that?
