It seems to be world music day at casa spellbound. Not by design, it's just happening that way.

Currently obsessing over the song "And Penny Knows", the opening track on Wondermints' "Kaleidoscopin': Exploring Prisms of the Past". The whole album is a total blast, the drumming and bass playing alone are worth the price of admission. Great songs from an awesome period in Los Angeles music!

Underworld-Two Months Off.Such an 'up'. positive vibe to this tune.I'm generally not a major consumer of this sort of music, but this track floats my boat.YMMV.

After watching the Browns game, I needed a dose of competence...

Faun -Midgard. The latest album by this German Pagan Folk band. Another work of intricate, involved, acoustic beauty, with great vocals sung in German. It seems that everything they do is a sublime work of beauty, and this is no different. Spacious, organic production allows the music to create the intended aura.

Copies available at Miroque Versand. Probably .de, don't recall.

Glass Hammer -Culture Of Ascent. Well, they show how great a track "South Side Of The Sky" can be, but the rest is pretty great too, despite the lack of Susie. Aargh!

Genesis -Wind & Wuthering. Box set version. No comments needed for this classic. The last of theirs that was truly a classic, but not the last good one.

Tangle Edge -Sumerian Kings And Joyful Doubts. Instrumental Psychedelic guitar jams. Good, but not up to the level of their Entangled Scorpio Entrance album, but then, what is for albums of this type?

Added one other: Various Artists -The Pride Of Cleveland. Ah, takes me back to the late 70s, when "Mama Sez" and "Funky Poodle" were staples on the local airwaves. Good times in a good place.
