    How about classical?

Debussy’s Jeux was about a tennis game. More specifically about 3 players looking for a ball, and the possible sexual encounter 2 of them have at the end (they disappear into the woods at dusk).

Charles Ives, a one time football player for Yale, wrote the piece "Yale-Princeton Football Game" when he went back years later to watch the game. It is meant to express the experience and excitement of the game in music.

Some songs or band names that have at least a slight connection with sports...

    The Outfield (Eighties band)
"Hurricane' (Dylan, about disgraced boxer Hurricane Carter)
"Loneliness of the Long Distance" (Ocean, French prog-hard rock band)
"Mrs. Robinson" (Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio...) Simon and Garfunkel
Boxer (Seventies band, with Patto and Ollie Halsall. First album called Below the Belt)
'Fearless' (Pink Floyd, the chant at the end of 'You'll Never Walk Alone") apparently the anthem of football club Liverpool F.C.)
    Babe Ruth (Seventies band)

I posted a video of an album by Brooklyn band "Kings Destroy" over on the stoner rock thread, and one of their songs is "Mr. O", short for the chorus which is "Mr. October", the nickname for baseball star Reggie Jackson.

Another Brooklyn band, The Brought Low (sounds like the Stones, Faces and Humble Pie!) have a song "Kelly Rose", about a racehorse...
