RIP Tom Magliozzi from NPR's Car Talk

I just found out about this today on NPR. I was a fan of these two brothers and their show "Car Talk" on NPR. Both very funny guys. RIP Tom.

    R.I.P. Tom Magliozzi

Just got an email from Car Talk, the older brother of the "Click and Clack" duo has passed away from Alzheimer's. I knew the show was running reruns, I knew they'd announced their retirement -- now we know why.

sad, very sad. Those two provided a lot of laughs over the years.

Bummer. I catch them fairly often. Can't see the show continuing.

EDIT: I forgot they have been broadcasting archive episodes for a couple of years.

    Apaprently, it was Alzheimer's complications.

I thought they retired about two years ago or so but then I still heard it. Not sure what the deal is but obviously it's done now.

Very sad news. I have a friend who is a cousin of the brothers....funny, he sounds / speaks just like them! Alzheimer's runs in the family....he says he'll make it past 70 but won't know it! Bubye Tommy!

Kinda ironic, the running joke every week was that Tommy couldn't remember last week's puzzler. Guess there was some truth to that!

Great radio show. Two hilarious and warm guys. It's so sad. Terrible disease. Ray wants the (rerun) shows to continue as a tribute
to Tom. And of course remember, Don't drive like my brother!

The tribute show Ray put together, with some of Tommy's best questions and answers, and lots and lots of his laughing, was really good. You couldn't help laughing along with him, even as you wanted to cry.

If you missed it live, listen to it on archive.
