And I Can't Get It Outta My Head .....

Like many of you, I assume, I suffer from songstuckinhead-itis. Usually something I hear first thing in the morning, but often just a random bit of song popping in for some unknown reason.

Here is today's, a gem off of Solefald's Linear Scaffold release. The section that get's me every time is near the 0:56 mark as the vocals transition to clean. This song, like many in their catalog, captures the essence of beauty and harsh reality with the interplay between gorgeous baritone vocals and melodies against the harshness of screeched vox and catastrophic kitchen sink passages.

    Enjoy!

What's your "Can't Get It Out Of My Head" tune of the day??

One advise - don't listen to it; the damn thing means what it states. Of course, had this been a Buggles single then we'd all be discussing it with gusto.

"[...] things that we never dreamed of doing in Crimson or in any band that I've been in," - Tony Levin speaking of SGM

My most frequent one lately is Minnie the Moocher. I have that one a lot. But also today House of the Rising Sun because I was watching an old interview with Eric Burdon.

The rhythm track on this tune has been bopping in my head for a few days now:

If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

For me, for the last month and a half, it's been this song that I heard at ProgDay this year:

Perhaps this demonstrates the disconnect between me and most of the rest of the people around here. (shrug)

This one I liked, but not enough for it to jump in my head to replace Jernlov.

This song could have easily been in my head 30 years ago during my extreme fusion kick.

Not my cuppa tea, but I can certainly hear the song's sticktoittiveness.

I've been hoping to find this version of Skywards on YT,to post here. There are a couple of other versions of Skywards from "Very Much Alive" on YT, but this one, from Sarajevo is the best, imo.I still have three cds from "Very Much Alive " to play(out of the six)

For some reason this piece beams me back to 1970, home sick in bed from grade school, and watching my B & W TV at dusk.

no tunes, no dynamics, no nosebone

Funny, I started an earworm thread some time ago, but it never seemed to take off.

Anyway, my current one is Ned Collette & Wirewalker - Opiate Eyes.

Can't post a link, as I don't think there is one. Odd, because it's nowhere near the best song on the album, but kind of earwormy.
