Geoff Downes playing "Close to the Edge" and "Turn of the Century"?
I may have to end up in the poorhouse to get a ticket.
It's on their official facebook page.
Interesting idea! It's nice to see them include Going For The One. Does this mean no "Roundabout"? :P
Legendary progressive rock band, Yes, today announced its upcoming North American tour, kicking off March 2013 in West Wendover, NV and wrapping up May 2013 in Detroit, MI. On this tour, fans can look forward to a totally new and unique Yes experience; the band, for the first time in its storied history, will perform three of its most popular albums in their entireties, The Yes Album, Close to the Edge, and Going for the One. Due to performance time limits in several venues,
Yes will perform two albums, The Yes Album and Close to the Edge, in their entireties.
Performing three of rock’s most renowned albums will see Yes members, Chris Squire, Steve Howe, Alan White, Geoff Downes, and Jon Davison, playing Yes staples that have dramatically influenced rock music over the last four decades. Fans will enjoy long time favorites, including "Yours is No Disgrace," "I’ve Seen All Good People," "Starship Trooper," "Close to the Edge," "And You And I," "Going for the One," "Wondrous Stories," "Awaken," and more, in a completely unique format. Moreover, Yes will perform all tracks in the order they appear on their corresponding studio albums.
"These albums we all easily agreed on—they are complete works in themselves. And several of the songs have rarely been performed live," says Yes guitarist, Steve Howe. "I believe the one song we’ve never performed in concert is ‘A Venture’ from The Yes Album," states Yes co-founder and bassist, Chris Squire. Yes drummer, Alan White goes on to say, "This is a great opportunity to show the growth of Yes throughout different eras, and to once again enjoy the great memories of those times, as well as create brand new ones. We’re looking forward to performing these albums. It’s going to be fun for us, and we think our fans will love it as well."
The tour visits Seattle, WA; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Reno, NV; Aspen, CO; Kansas City, MO; Austin, TX; Clearwater, FL; New York, NY; Detroit, MI; Toronto, Ontario; and a variety of other cities. See the tour page for complete tour itinerary information, including venues and dates.

Bethlehem?!!!!!
No dates in Philly, but a date in Bethlehem?!!!!
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally
Woo-hoo, the Beacon Theater. I'll have to actually go.
Massey Hall, wow! I might consider this one. The last Yes gig I saw was in 2002 (and it was excellent) but they seemed to decline rapidly following that, both from footage I saw and from quite a few reviews - not to mention I've grown tired of the amphitheater style shows. Too many drunk, aging idiot fans. But Massey Hall is a beautiful venue and this is a pretty cool idea. Also, I'd like to see them with Davison.

A Yes concert without "Owner of a Lonely Heart" or "Roundabout"? MOST welcome!!
The only problem is they're playing The Moore Theater in Seattle, which I find 'iffy' for sound (i.e. Dream Theater were brilliant, but the sound was abysmal - they overwhelmed the venue ). I don't remember Yes ever playing there, but Alan has played there many times with some of his Music Matters activities, so hopefully he'll be able to make suggestions to ensure the sound is dialed in - fingers crossed.......

The Church did a three-album tour last year, and it was most excellent. One difference though is that the Church played their latest album (Untitled 23), their most "fan favorite" album (Priest = Aura), and their most popular one (Starfish). Imagine if Yes had done something similar-- They could play FFH, Relayer and Fragile.
I'm not really sure how playing three albums from the 70s shows "the growth of Yes throughout different eras", but it looks like a fun tour nonetheless.
Louisville KY is doable.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
Alas, no where near me, but perhaps some of these days off could still be booked. I think this is one I'd actually like to go to.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.
Pass. I'm not really a fan of the full album tours that some bands are doing now.
No Balt or DC date yet, but Bethlehem might be doable if none are added

Beacon Theater is an OUTSTANDING venue...and you get to sit down as well! Great news! I might have to get tix!
"So...you seek understanding. Then listen to the music and not the song..." - Kosh
I count three songs that have not been played since they resumed touring with Benoit: A Venture, Turn of the Century and Perpetual Change. Correct?
No Jon Anderson. No sale.
It's one thing to do a set with some 70s stuff along with Drama and Fly From Here, but an ENTIRELY Anderson era set without Anderson? It's a joke and I will not support it.
Oh, and why isn't Drama one of the three albums anyway?
They did do Perpetual Change with Benoit occasionally.
