I guess Baltimore and Washington DC kinda suck in terms of this tour, sadly.

I've got tickets for Boston. I'd have loved to have seen Atomic Ape as they are a recent discovery that I love but I'm sure Cleric will be excellent.

    Looking forward to it.

Yeah... can't win them all. There's only so many markets you can hit on each tour, but for the record I've been in Baltimore last year with SC3 (opening for Goblin), with miRthkon & MoeTar the year before that, and with SC3 (in both Baltimore and DC) the year before that. Anyway I was also hoping for some Florida, Kansas City, and SLC action on this tour, but that didn't pan out. The Pacific Northwest is also getting the shaft, but we'll be driving through there en route to Calgary! And we'll likely be back there again in spring 2015.

Will be at the Wakefield show, and very suprised to see so many Canadian dates. Quite uncommon for a non-Canadian band to do much more than Montreal/Toronto/Vancouver.

Didn't Canada relax their policy on musicians from other countries?
It was pretty harsh there for a while ( very expensive for the bands ).

It wasn't that bad but about a year ago but they unexpectedly and significantly raised the entrance fees - but then after some backlash from the clubs (who had to absorb a lot of these fees) they were lowered again. I think that's the story and what you're referring to.

In any case, a few years ago we did a long 7 day Canadian swing from Hamilton, ON to Quebec City, QC and as far north in QC as Rouyn-Noranda... But I'm looking forward to our (and my personal) trek from Calgary to Winnipeg.

I'll definitely be there for October 11th in Toronto. I would love to see Atomic Ape, too, but I'm sure that Cleric will be awesome. I'm gonna go check 'em out, right now.

Excellent gig last night in Boston, band was on top form and looked like they were having a lot of fun, decent turn out though venue certainly not full, maybe between 70 & 120 (hard to judge in the dark ). Cleric were a good support act, heavy technically complex metal with pretty much just screaming for vocals.

Picked up the new Secret Chiefs 3 album Ishraqiyun : Perichoresis at the gig, haven't played it yet.

Great to see you, Ian, albeit quite briefly..! And looking forward to this second half of the tour (after a much needed laundry day off in NYC).

Note: I added another last-minute LA show to the schedule above... Also another last-minute show in Toronto which we already played, but just to make the list complete.

A new SC3 album? Oh the world is a wonderful place. Now to try to understand Trey's liner notes and work on pronouncing the band name!

About 8 weeks ago his literal first step ever onto Russian soil was taking a misstep off the plane in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia and breaking his foot. Ever the trooper, we didn't miss a single show on any of these tours due to this injury. He's much better now, and he'll be able to stand again on stage shortly after this tour is over.

He was positively Frippian in Boston seated with his face hidden

Looking forward to the LA show!

I just saw Atomic Ape (with Corima) on Saturday.

What a great band! The band consists of guitar, trumpet, sax, bass, drums, all amazing players, easily negotiating some pretty complex avant-proggy material.

Don't get there late and miss Atomic Ape.

As great as Cleric were I was a bit bummed that Atomic Ape weren't the opener in Boston. Have to catch them next time.

Just returned from the show here in Raleigh. Enjoyed SC3 (of course!) and was thrilled by Atomic Ape. I have enjoyed what I've heard of the AA album, but I was not prepared for their live show; just awesome. All around, a great night of music & top-notch musicianship!
