Yes my Motorhead post was in fun, and I did provide some justification in that the track was actually first written by Lemmy for Hawkwind who we all know are proggy. I actually prefer the Hawkwind original version.

I'm glad PeterG is getting so much mileage from my joke post.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

At the risk of "jumping the gun," this being a brand new release and all (premature acclamation?) ...

... I have to say that my first listen to Heliopolis' "New Frontier" a few weeks ago kind of blew my socks off (or at least loosened 'em up a bit). I especially like how the tritone-ish Spocks-y chaos intro builds through a mad synth solo, then resolves into a sweet fanfare which in turn settles into the mellower, more melodic main body of the tune. An exceptional arrangement that remains interesting through repeated listens IMO. Well done, that.

Whoops! I didn't realise it was meant as a joke!

I know it's their only album, and some may not consider them prog,

But, Last Plane Out from Toy Matinee nailed it!
Eric: "What the hell Hutch, it's all Rush, what if we wanted a little variety?"

Hutch: "Rush is variety, Bitch! Rule number one: in my van, its Rush! All Rush, all the time...no exceptions."

    From "Fanboys" 2009.

Sleep is Wrong - SGM - Not my favorite by them but it gets your attention. It intrigued me enough to get the album
Afterwards - VdGG - Right at the junction of Psychedelic and Prog. Unless you consider Aerosol Grey Machine Hammill's first single, then Darkness makes an even better choice.
