I started two threads in the last couple of months about cds i dig.One was a fairly new release(from late 2013) of African inspired pop music(John Wizards), the other was a "new music" cd that i've loved since it first came out on wax in the late 70's.

Between the two threads there was one response, someone liked the pop cd.The new music(Alvin Curran-Songs And Views...) got bubkas.

I try to think that at least one person heard the Curran clip i posted with the thread, liked it, but couldn't be bothered to post about it.It's possible.

Oh yeah, i started a thread about the cd by Feliu Gasull and Joan Albert. That got thirteen or fourteen responses.Might be a PE record for a cd thread of mine.

It was ignored by the mods for so long! Fun while it lasted though.

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Yep - those types of people join my group all the time and instantly splash some link like that - which earns them an instant ban. As for it happening here, I can't scroll past those threads quickly enough. Likewise with anyone who is only out to advertise... be it their band, their radio show, their blog.. while offering no other discussion within the community. I have no tolerance for shameless self promotion. It smacks of desperation... just the way I see it.

    I liked that one!

Ed, you might be making a joke about canvas sneakers, but Canvas is a great band, or project. IMO they're welcome here. Nice guys too.

I just wanna say, in the Brexit thread, the OP stated/asked this:

"IMHO, I thought the Leave vote is, in the long run, the right move for GB)......your thoughts."

So the OP was looking for thoughts on any aspects of the Brexit vote, not only financial.

Anyway, it was interesting while it lasted.
